In my daily browsing on the Internet, I came across the website dontforgeted.org. It is an organization dedicated to calling on the presidential candidates to make education a priority in this election and in their term in office. The site has a video, a link to a page on broad cause in which you can sign a pledge to reach out to the candidates so they can make education a priority, and some interesting facts.
This site would be great for teachers to use in the classroom with their students. Teachers could discuss with students what changes or priorities need to be established in schools and then reach out together as a class to the presidential candidates on these issues. Likewise, teachers could use this site on their own to reach out to the candidates on their own.
Education must be a priority for whomever becomes the next president. Our kids deserve it and need it.
