Reflecting on the end of the year

This month’s topic focuses on the future of the teaching profession.
We cannot look forward to the future of the profession unless we first reflect on the past.
I am proposing that you specifically look at the teaching year that you just completed
What went well? What will you never attempt again? Where do you need to improve?

A few of my good and bad things from the year:

THE BAD
-Falling behind on grading (I will conquer my grading next year!)
-Making more timely positive parent contacts
-Not enough one-on-one conferences with students

THE GOOD
-Developing a positive, caring classroom with my home room class. They all genuinely loved our class and I loved them! They were such a good group.
-integrating technology into my various lessons. The kids loved doing Prezis, videos, websites, etc.
-Lots of hands-on science activities!

Now, I can look back at this year and determine in which direction I would like to go in for my future classes.

What about you? What are the good and bad things you experienced this year?
