Imagine a culture in which education is valued…
A school that is designed to empower students to learn, create, and think…
A school that is designed to empower teachers to lead, guide, and design…
An environment in which the teachers help set the policies that determine what is best for our students…
An environment in which our students have a voice in their education…
An environment in which parents are seen as partners in education and not adversaries…
A learning community that truly values learning and not discipline and rewards…
What would our schools look like if we truly enacted these imaginations?
What would happen if we really gave teachers and students a voice in education and not just the recipient of said education?
I don’t have the answers, but I would sure like to see schools modeled after these imaginations…
